Mayor Jones to Lead Photo Walk to Airfield Falls

On October 5th, one month from today, Mayor Kelly Jones will lead a group of friends and photographers from city hall along the city’s trail system to Airfield Falls for fun and photography, and then back along the trail to city hall for a light lunch.

I’m excited to lead my first Worldwide Photo Walk to one of the most beautiful and scenic locations in the county, Westworth Village’s Airfield Falls,” Mayor Jones said. “We will take a leisurely stroll along the trail, looking for photogenic opportunities along the way, before stopping at Airfield Falls to photograph this beautiful natural site. After an hour or so at the falls, we will return along the trail back to city hall, where lunch will be provided.”

Jones said photographers of all skill levels are invited. Sign up, attendance, and lunch are completely free, so reserve your spot in the walk today.

Scott Kelby’s Worldwide Photo Walk is an annual international event, with over 1000 photo walks that day at locations around the world. The event is completely free, although voluntary donations of $1 (yes, one dollar!) are suggested, with 100 % of the donations going to Springs of Hope Kenya Orphanage, an organization that feeds, houses, educates, and empowers young orphans.

Mayor Jones will select one winning photograph from the group, which will be submitted to Scott Kelby and international judges for consideration for awards and prizes.

More information will be provided as the event approaches, but to secure your spot in the Westworth Village photo walk, please go to, or RSVP direcvtly to
